După analiza profilului a peste 800 de manageri și antreprenori români de top, după chestionarea a sute și intervievarea a zeci dintre aceștia, Romulus Oprica surprinde, după cum subliniază antropologul Vintilă Mihăilescu, pe lângă elementele determinante ale succesului și un alt aspect „cu adevărat inedit și valoros:  imaginarul corporatist”, supus „unui foc metodologic încrucişat, analizând apoi diferenţele de gen şi, mai ales, cele dintre manageri executivi şi antreprenori.

„Manageri de top din România despre succesul în carieră. O perspectivă sociologică” este o analiză detașată și chiar amuzantă despre„fantasmele timpului de calitate”, despre ADN-ul care te duce în topul managerilor sau antreprenorilor și un sumar fără parti-pris al elementelor care definesc cu adevărat succesul în carieră.  

Este o carte care „ne poate face să înţelegem ceva mai bine o categorie pe care, în lipsă de un termen potrivit, am ajuns să o numim, la grămadă, hipsteri…” (V. Mihăilescu).
