This volume: Demand And Supply Of Social Economy was compiled within the framework of research project Integrat – resources for the socially excluded women and Roma groups, cofinanced from the European Social Fund (ESF) in 2010-2013 through the Sectoral Operational Program Human Resources Development 2007-2013, priority axis 6 „Promotion of social inclusion”, major area of intervention 6.1 „Development of social economy”. The general objective of the project was the active promotion of social inclusion on the labour market by the activation of social economy (SE), of women and Roma groups, by the development of partnerships and by stimulating the involvement in the community life of the socially excluded people from Bucharest-Ilfov development region (DR) and South-East DR.

The project was implemented by a consortium coordinated by the Association for Socio-economic Development and Promotion Catalactica, as main applicant, in collaboration with ICCV, Romanian Academy, and Bolt International Consulting L. Katsikaris & Co. Limited Partnership.

This volume: Demand And Supply Of Social Economy has been compiled by the research team of ICCV, as partner responsible for Study on the stage of SE development in Bucharest- Ilfov DR and South-East DR. The research was conducted in permanent consultation with the project partners, particularly with Catalactica Association as main applicant.

The objective of the study is to asses the state of art of SE development in two DR and to increase the level of social awareness on the role of SE within the framework of the project activities, the study will support the accomplishment of the general objective of the project, the active promotion of social inclusion on the labour market by SE activation, of the women and Roma groups, by the development of partnerships and by the stimulation of involvement in community life of the socially excluded people from Bucharest-Ilfov DR and South-East DR. Counties included in the survey are: Buzau, Braila, Constanta, Galati, Ilfov, Tulcea, Vrancea and Bucharest city.
