In economia de piata cheia succesului in afaceri este direct influentata de orientarea activitatii generale a firmelor catre o viziune de marketing, asigurandu-se astfel un raport optim intre productia materiala si cea a serviciilor.
Universalitatea marketingului reflecta realitatea obiectiva, exprimata prin difuzarea larga a acestuia, practic in toate activitatile umane. Cautarile in directia adaptarii opticii si a metodelor marketingului la specificul diferitelor domenii au generat un proces de specializare caracterizat prin desprinderea si constituirea mai multor ramuri si subramuri – daca nu autonome, in orice caz cu suficiente note distincte).
