The guide represents a useful instrument for specialists and educators
developing direct activities with delinquent children and it presents a series of
theoretical and practical elements, structured within educational programs which
respect the methodology preferred at the level of the National Penitentiary
Administration. These programs have as a general objective improving the
resilience of children from reeducation centers in Romania. The present guide was
realized in the European project Promoting the Resilience of Youth Delinquent –
PRYD, project that had as a purpose supporting and improving the development of
youth delinquents resilience, facilitating their social inclusion.
In the structure of this guide we have valued as being particularly useful
presenting some aspects related to the current legislative frame and the one of
perspective, as well as relatively new concepts for the practice of specialists in the
field (resilience, LSCI).

Finally, we conclude that this paper is a practical guide for educators
interested in implementing special methods, for an approach that proactively leads
to promoting adequate behaviors for delinquent youth. The guide presents not
only the spectrum of the LSCI method, but also offers the means of utilizing it,
explains both how and why this process works and describes the real world of
activities for children in reeducation centers.
We believe that the benefit of such a specialty work will be appreciated by
professionals in the field and will come to support many practitioners that develop
their activity with children in reeducation centers throughout Romania.
