Description
With vast networks connecting individual or collective nodes supporting various roles in the knowledge economy, people are now faced with both the opportunity and challenge of controlling the loose ends of possibility. (…) Crowdsourcing systems are usually designed as complex decentralized management structures with a focus on controlling and, as such, collecting valuable resources through interactive processes, which include the use of rules, terms and conditions, rewarding systems, performance tracking, motivation and engagement coordination. In this sense, their evolution as virtual organizations in the network society should be further observed and, perhaps, taken as an example for businesses already challenged by the rapid technological changes in today`s society.
